Job DescriptionPosition SummaryProvides Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients utilizing screening, assessments, plans and evaluations.
Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition plans.
Maintains friendly, customer service attitude towards patients, families, co-workers and clients.
Actively participates in providing nutrition education to the communityPosition Responsibilities Assists in developing programs related to outpatient nutrition services to ensure cost effective and high quality care.
Markets outpatient programs to develop and expand client base by establishing, maintaining effective working relationships with referring physicians and other facility staff to increase referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
Develops community based nutrition programs focusing on nutrition and diabetes disease prevention and complications based on ADA and AADE guidelines Communicates with physicians and other health care personnel by documenting and forwarding assessments and outcomes of nutrition counseling to keep others informed and to promote a team approach to care.
Develops nutrition plan with patient centered goals and measurable outcomes detailed in patient chart in collaboration with physician.
Counsels clients using effective counseling skills and techniques to facilitate appropriate behavior change Organizes and maintains outpatient program files.
Documentation will be assessed by a Registered Clinical Dietitian periodically (10 charts min/year) Assists in developing and monitoring nutrition Performance Improvement indicators related to outpatient nutrition programs.
Demonstrates effective teaching skills through a variety of instruction methodologies, using the principles of adult learning theory.
Participates in Hospital Committees as designated Utilizes education process of assessment, planning, teaching and evaluation to educate patients/families with specific disease entities and/or lifestyle changes.
Position Experience RequiredAbility to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with patients, clients, residents, and staff.
Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, Inspira and Compass information.
Outpatient experience preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
